I refuse to believe that Patrick Stewart has ever looked younger than he currently does. When he was born he was just a smaller version of Patrick Stewart.
And I know she must have had plastic surgery at some point, but her surgeon is excellent and Julia Louis-Dreyfus has looked exactly the same as long as I've been alive.
That's him from yesterday at what I presume is the same event. Looks like he got a facelift, but OP's is probably a still from a video where he looks way weirder.
The work he's had done probably shows more when he's doing crazy faces. One of his big acting talents was his facial expressions, he's probably lost that with the plastic surgery
yeah, this one hurts the most, like clearly his facial acting brutalized his face, but you could see it as normal aging, and a few years back he was looking okay promoting Sonic.
so sad celebrities feel the need to do this. #justiceforStarlight
Yeah probably some cheek filler to keep from getting jowly, it's not nearly as bad as the OP picture of him. Probably more work on the hairline than on the face.
But decades of shaving and prosthetics, I don't blame him for hair restoration.
normal sure but he's absolutely had work done. like around his cheek and Chin absolutely had work done. And he's had to update work which is stuff like Botox which I don't think people even consider getting work done these days.
Yes he wanted to show he wasn’t a pretty boy and started boxing, and then when he wasn’t pretty anymore he went to have plastic surgeries in discrete places so we didn’t know, and then when that made it worse he started just going to better places but it was all over. Truly a loss fr
I just watched the interview (which this picture is from) he gave after an awards ceremony and he responded to a question saying "my favorite funny face is the one I'm wearing now". So, that leads me to believe hopefully it is some kind of weird prosthetic.
No, it’s the eyelids. Check older pictures, he got eyelid surgery. He does look puffy but anything could do that to him, the thing is the eyelids and I think he’s done that for real.
Yeah, I’ve seen comparison pictures and that leads me to think it is some weird performance thing (kinda like when The Weeknd did that music video and public appearances wearing weird prosthetics to look like he had plastic surgery)
I think he's had a face lift, bleph and some filler. And also botox - his smile is different so his face isn't moving the way it used to. His face in general looks fuller and that can only be achieved with filler or implants.
Can one single actor let their face age naturally? I remember articles popping up of how actors like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston have aged like wine. Yeah when they were in their 40s. Good for them. Now can they please let it go.
They are over 60. It is fine to be over 60, and movies can be made with characters at that age. You are not fooling anyone with these cosmetic surgeries. You still look 60 and bloated as if a bee stung you.
To Brad Pitt's dubious credit, his team has managed to select some top of the line cosmetologists. The amount they had to fight against the likely impact of his years of full blown alcoholism should award them the plastic surgeon's version of the medal of honor.
Keanu Reeves is just now 61. It's RIGHT at that tipping point where things go south pretty quick. We won't know if he gives into this for a few years. Jim Carrey is 64 and about when he might get desperate like other actors that age. Even Brad Pitt, he's lookin... a bit plastic-y in the new trailer for the Fincher film, not terrible yet but also not natural.
You can absolutely keep things mostly together until about 60 and then people who've depended on their looks their entire lives like these celebs become desperate in ways regular people probably won't ever understand
That's why I built a career around my shin bones. I've always had nice shins, and my mom said "Take care of your shins and they will last you forever."
My wife is Hawaiian and her grandma told me before we got married “you know she’s going to look great until 75 and one night you’ll go to sleep with a 30 year old and wake up with an ancient” I about died laughing -and reminded her that I was 27 at the time and already had grays and looked 40.
OH yeah, I agree with this 100%. That's why I clicked on this thread like... no way, JIM CARREY of all people? You know what's really weird too, is that this sort of plastic / botox / facial surgery completely betrays everything Jim Carrey is all about when it comes to his expressiveness. It's completely baffling, he's legit the last actor in the world I would have expected to go down this road
Indeed. Besides, everyone knows engaging in domestic violence, excessive drug use, general partying as a young adult will catch up to you eventually. Fuck Sean Penn, he earned it.
Yeah honestly I get it. There is a lot of hypocrisy. Disgusting example of "memes" like the one below. But I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I think after 60 you should not expect as an actor to play "sexy" characters, trying to act tough. There is some point after 50, which you can also see in your loved ones, where things take a sharp turn. And we need to accept that fact of life.

Counterexample: ageing to the point where you can't look any older and can simply go on with your life.
